Merging Two Pictures in Photoshop
1. Find two pictures on the Internet or 1 picture and merge it with a picture of you (Use Photo Booth on the iMacs)
2. Save both pictures on your desktop
3. Open up Photoshop Elements (it's the Sunflower in your dock)
4. OPEN BOTH PICTURES IN PHOTOSHOP- Go to the File Menu at the top and go to Open......and open the two pictures you want to merge from within Photoshop elements

5. Now you should have both pictures open, in Photoshop elements and you're ready to work on them.
6. CLICK ON MAGNETIC LASSO- On your left you should have a tool palette, and there should be a lasso box in it. Click and hold and go down to the Magnetic Lasso (this will allow you to cut out part of a picture).

7. TRACE PART OF ONE IMAGE- Now that you have the Magnetic Lasso activated, click on the part of the first picture you want to cut out part of and trace around whatever you are cutting out. When you get back to where you started, click and the whole thing will be highlighted (be patient, you may have to do this several times until you get the hang of it).

8. USE MOVE TOOL TO MOVE PART OF ONE IMAGE ONTO OTHER PICTURE (VERY IMPORTANT!!!!) - Once you've got the piece highlighted, go to the Move Tool, so you can drag the piece to the other picture (remember, the other picture HAS to be open in Photoshop elements for this to work, which should have been done in Step 4.

9. RESIZE LAYER OF PICTURE SO IT FITS- You can grab the corners and make the picture you dragged over bigger or smaller. You can also push the Option key and click on the corner and rotate the image.

10. SAVING YOUR WORK- Put finishing touches on and then save the file ( IT WILL SAVE AS A .PSD file....which is good.....that means it's a PhotoShop Document and it's high quality).

11. ADDING IT TO YOUR BROCHURE- To ad it to your brochure, go to SAVE AS and change it from Photoshop Document TO JPEG......then you can drag the JPG file onto your brochure and you're done!
