Hello, my name is Brock Hurt, I am the facilitator of the Tech Lab at Pioneer Middle School, in Wenatchee, Washington. I have been at Pioneer since 1993, teaching English and History for 10 years, and then switching to the Technology Lab in 2003. I've always loved technology, and love sharing different types of technology with the kids.

I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University, earning a major in Math and a minor in Science. I earned a Masters from City University in 1996.

Since I started in the tech lab I have become very familiar with the Macintosh and all of it's splendor. You could say that I am currently a "Mac Addict." This addiction to the Mac has only gotten worse with the release of Mac OS X.  If you would like to see a truly beautiful operating system that DOESN'T CRASH, come and visit the tech lab at Pioneer.

We have about 25 computers in the tech lab and they are all wired to the internet through an ethernet network. All use100 Base T networking and a T-1 connection to the outside world. This has made real time surfing and teaching with the internet possible and practical.

This past summer I have been developing curriculum to guide your students into their future using technology as their tool for learning. I continue to develop differentiated curriculum to meet the needs of all of my students, regardless of their experience or background with technology.  You can find all of my curriculum online and your are free to use anything that I have posted for any non-profit educational reason.

I also have an extensive enrichment curriculum available for students who meet standards sooner than others.  Feel free to use anything posted here also.

Most recently I attended the NECC(National Education Computing Conference) and took a two day class on Dreamweaver MX, as well as many other sessions on cutting edge technology.

Ron Brown started this page(1993) in raw HTML, then went to the simpler Claris Home Page, but now am using Dreamweaver MX. I am currently creating several different pages for the programs that I am involved in. I have also taken on the responsibility of webmaster for Pioneer Middle School.

Outside of school I am interested in spending time with my kids, going camping, going to church and church related functions, and watching movies.
