8:00- 8:15 Review the agenda and goals.

8:15 - 8:30 Examples of quality websites...what do you want to change/create

• Tiers of website design
• Website design basics
• Online help....anytime!

8:30- 9:30 Activity #1- Going through the basics.... with a toolkit

In this activity, you are going to build a simple site, so we can review all the basic commands that you use everyday.

I will:

• go through the directions step by step, or
• you can click to this website to do it yourself(advanced link).

The Site
The site we are about to build is about the Czech city of Prague. I have pre prepared all the images and text for the site and you can download the content in winzip format from HERE

10:00- 10:30 Activity #2- Create a banner and buttons (if time)

• Basic- Go to cooltext.com and build a banner for the top of your "soon-to-be-remodeled" website. Download it and put it in your images folder in your site.
• Basic- (if time) At cooltext.com, create customized buttons for your page. Make them 169(width) x 20(height) pixels.
• Intermediate/Advanced- Create your banner in Fireworks -Click HERE for tutorial link.
  

11:00 - 11:30 Activity #3- Templates in Dreamweaver

• Basic- Follow along and we'll make a template for your site
• Intermediate/Advanced- Click HERE for tutorial and go at your own pace

11:30- 12:30 Lunch

12:30-1:00 Finish templates / Activity #4 Working with Photo Albums / Finding fun stuff and working in code view

1:00-3:30 Work on your own website

3:30-4:00 Evaluation / Clock Hours
