Students use the program called Cybercrafts Electronics to manipulate lights, sensors, and other electronic parts to learn the basic concepts behind electronics. They learn what resistors, capacitors, transistors, transformers, photocells, diodes, piezo transducers, and many other parts do in a system. They build models that flash lights and sound, detect conductance, and turn on and off with different amounts of light. They also use a program called Digital Lab to learn what semi-conductors and 8 segment displays do.
Students also use a system from the Lego corporation called MFA boards. These teach the fundamentals of electronic systems and control. The students can then control their Lego machines with them.
