The Image below is a Quicktime VR panarama of the Technology Lab. You must have the Quicktime plug-in and a browser that is capaple of displaying quicktime movies. I recommend downloading Quicktime 4.0 from Apple.

A laboratory for the study of science and technology, the Technology Lab 2000 is a total integrated system of high-tech furnishings, equipment, instructional materials and software.

The lab incorporates computer activity in virtually every aspect of its operation; going well beyond computer screen instructions. Students use computers to learn about robotics, computer aided drafting and design (CADD), system simulation, word processing, and computer assisted publishing. You will experiment with satellite technology, pneumatic structures, aerodynamic testing, space frame construction, economics and hydroponics.

The programs of instruction that accompanies the lab sharpens students conceptual skills. It challenges them to discover the underlying principles of technology and to apply those principles through the use of critical thinking, problem solving and decision making. It facilitates not only a mastery of technological subject matter, but a mastery of the process of learning itself.

Students engage directly in the observation, exploration, application, and assessment of technological phenomena. They learn that technology is not passive; it is active and ever changing. It's components are interdependent. In the process of becoming technologically literate, students are expected to use and understand technology--not just be informed about it.

In the technology lab, each student participates in a unique sequence of learning activities. Its a program that promotes individual exploration, creativity, and innovation. At the same time, it encourages team collaboration, networking of information, and the blending of ideas.
